MBADA STUDIO FAQ

We have comprised a list of the most frequently asked questions for your review and convenience.
If you have a question that does not appear on the list, please do not hesitate to contact us.

  • What age can my child begin dance classes?
    At MBADA, we provide an introductory dance class for dancers as young as 17 months old.
  • When does registration begin?
    Registration is OPEN NOW! We highly recommend you register early to secure your dancer's placement. MBADA dance classes begin after Labor Day and extend through the end of May, ending with our annual production in June!
  • Are your dance classes taught by qualified teachers?
    When researching and choosing a dance studio, it's imperative to trust only certified, adult, degreed instructors. Our MBADA staff has the top reputation for teaching proper dance technique in a positive, confidence building environment. MBADA's instructors may range in age and in professional dance experience, however each instructor loves working with children along with a true passion and love for dance.
  • When and how do I pay tuition?
    Tuition is due on the 1st of each month. Late fees ($15.00) are applied to accounts after the 3rd. Each dancer is requried to setup auto-pay for monthly tuition withdrawls. Our customer relationship software, provided by ClassJuggler, will auto-draft tuition beginning the 1st of each month. Click the link to our 'Dancer Portal' at the top of the page and follow the steps to create your account along with your preferred method of payment. (credit card, debit card, or pre-paid card.) We are proud to offer family rate discounts.
  • Are there any other expenses outside of tuition?
    Yes, there is an annual registration fee, revue fee, and costume fee. Payments can be made in installments prior to the due dates or all at once. More information on these fees can be found in your policy handbook.
  • How large is your class sizes?
    To provide the best dance training experience for each student, MBADA dance classes remain small - approximately 10 or less dancers per class. Our studio entails three modern-style classrooms equipped with suspended wood floors to protect dancers when performing high impact skills.
  • Does your studio participate in annual recitals?
    Yes, it's the highlight of our dance season! Traditionally, our recital debuts the first or second weekend of June at Slidell's Auditorium in Old Town. You will enjoy our professional-level showcase featuring class performances from each student throughout the year.
  • Where can I purchase dancewear and shoes?
    Good News! Purchase all of your dancer's apparel inside of MBADA's Business Office Boutique. We stock a variety of shoes, leotards, dancewear, tights, garment bags, and MBADA t-shirts. If your dancer's size in not in stock, we will gladly place the order. MBADA will make sure your dancer has everything they need for dance class.
  • Do I need to stay in the building while my child is in class?
    If your child is 4 years old or younger, we ask for you to remain in the studio while he/she is in class. Parents of older dancers may leave to run errands while classes are in session, but are required to return promptly at the end of class. Note: For your child's safety, it is strictly forbidden for any dancer to leave the studio without a parent or guardian present.
  • What benefits will my child gain from dance classes?
    Your child will enjoy our self-esteem building, friendly environment at MBADA. DANCE LESSONS PROVIDE great exercise, poise, confidence, and are also proven to help to teach individuals to work well in a group setting. This will be an asset when children become adults. Dance is a great way to increase flexibility, develop good posture, and proper body alignment.
